PWHS Cheerleaders win 2025 Suburban One League Championship
Congratulations to the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Varsity Cheerleading team for winning the 2025 Suburban One League (SOL) Championship!
The Competitive Spirit Champions competed at Central Bucks South High School on January 16 against schools from Bucks and Montgomery counties. This milestone win is especially significant, as it marks the team’s first SOL title since the 2008-2009 season. The team was first to perform and earned high praise from the judges, including one who commented, "Your energy is contagious."
The journey to the SOL Championship was paved with countless hours of practice, volunteering, and supporting other PWHS sports teams. Seeing their hard work come together in such a powerful performance was an emotional moment for coaches and families alike.
“The team made an unforgettable impact,” said the PWHS Cheerleading coaching staff. “These girls have worked so hard and deserve this amazing win. Proud is an understatement!"
Next, the team will head to Reading, Pa., to compete in the PIAA Competitive Spirit State Championships on January 30-31. This highly regarded event gathers varsity cheerleading teams from across Pennsylvania. The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School team earned their bid after taking second place in the AAA Large Division at Districts earlier in January.
Looking ahead, the team is also preparing for the UCA Nationals in Orlando, Florida, this February. Both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams will compete against top teams from across the country, marking an exciting conclusion to the season.
“The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Cheerleading team continues to achieve remarkable success,” added the coaches. “The best is yet to come!”
