Slawek Orthodontics Metal Braces auction open through June 7

Is your child going to need braces soon? Support Colonial schools — and potentially save more than $1,000 — by winning traditional metal braces from Slawek Orthodontics in the Colonial School District Education Foundation online auction.

“We’re excited that Slawek Orthodontics has again reached out to us to give a family in our community a great deal on orthodontic care while raising thousands of dollars for the Foundation,” said CSDEF President Annette Swartz. 

In an earlier auction, the McCarthy family won more than $6000 worth of orthodontic care with a bid of $4,150.

"It was a great opportunity to support the CSDEF, and we saved money on our daughter's braces," said Lynn McCarthy. "So it was beneficial in both ways."  

This year, the value of traditional metal braces provided by Slawek Orthodontics is $6,680. The opening bid is $3,000, and bidders can raise the price in a minimum of $50 increments. The auction closes at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026, and the orthodontic care needs to begin within 18 months of the end of the auction.  

Bidders need to create an account on the school district website and then add their bid to the comments on the auction page.
