Everyone’s heard of Chick-Fil-A. But have you heard of Raising Cane's? Raising
Cane’s, as it says in the title, is a chicken tender food chain, with probably the most limited
menu you’ve ever seen. It sells 5 things, chicken tenders, crinkle cut fries, coleslaw, texas toast,
and fountain drinks. That’s it. They have 4 or 5 variations of those 5 things. The box combo,
which consists of 4 chicken fingers, fries, their secret sauce, 2 pieces of Texas toast, coleslaw,
and a fountain drink. The Caniac Combo is the same thing, but with 6 chicken fingers. The 3
Finger Combo, again, is the same thing, but with 3 chicken fingers, hence the name, The 3
Finger Combo. The Sandwich Combo, which is just 3 chicken tenders, not cut up, on a bun, with
all of the same sides. And, of course, we have the kids combo, which is the same thing, but with
2 chicken tenders! In this article, we’re getting into Raising Canes, the history, the menu
choices, the location, and more information about the one and only Raising Cane’s.
Raising Cane’s was founded by Todd Graves in Louisiana. Todd’s vision was to have a
restaurant to just sell chicken fingers, his love for chicken tenders was too strong for him not to
devote a whole fast food chain to them. His idea received the lowest grade in his college class
because his professor said it wouldn’t work. The bank would not give him loans because they
were also very doubtful about his idea. Graves earned the money by working as a boilermaker
in L.A. He and his partner Craig Silvey obtained a loan and used it to open up their first
restaurant near the Louisiana State University campus. Now, Raising Cane’s is now located in
many, many states. You can find Raising Cane’s in Texas, Louisiana, California, Ohio, Arizona,
Nevada, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Kentucky, Nebraska, Mississippi, Minnesota, Illinois,
Arkansas, South Carolina, Virginia, Iowa, Kansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Utah,
Pennsylvania, Indiana, Alaska, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Wyoming, New Mexico, Hawaii,
and Oregan. Raising Canes is continuing to expand and move into many new states and cities.
To wrap this short summary up, Raising Cane’s is a CHICKEN TENDER ONLY ZONE,
(plus coleslaw, fries, sauce, and fountain drinks,), and bringing Chick Fa La in there is not
tolerated! I once envisioned that, and that person in my vision got kicked out. Summing things
up, Raising Cane’s is a chicken tender food chain, perfect for all of the chicken lovers!
