The Eagles are good because of their core players: Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith. Their defense also has some strong pieces, including Jalen Carter, Zack Baun, Jordan Davis, and exciting white DBs Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship.
Teams that stand in their way are those with deep, well-balanced rosters, such as the Colts, Broncos, and Packers.
The Eagles can overcome whoever stands in their way, but their problem has been an inconsistently explosive offense. To fix that, they need to rush and pass at a consistent rate on drives and, on defense, generate sacks and force turnovers.
In conclusion, I’m optimistic that the Eagles can repeat as champions because the last two weeks have looked better for them. After last week, I think they’re back—especially after the offense’s best performance of the season against the Vikings. Jalen Hurts played a game that made his critics regret their words: 3 TDs, 326 yards, and a perfect passer rating.
