CHAPTER 2: THE MOON GOES BLUE
Ever heard of the idiom, “Once in a blue moon”? It’s a saying that basically means that you don’t do something very often. For example, I feed my cat once in a blue moon because I know she has nine lives. This means that I don’t feed my cat very often. But what if there was an actual blue moon? What would happen if the moon went blue? And what if the moon always stayed full? Well, we can probably all guess that it would not be something humanity would want. Studies show that there would be a lot of volcanic ash and dust spread everywhere. So that might mean we’ll sneeze a lot, but that’s pretty much the only danger. However, the definition of blue moon is having two full moons in one month, or having four full moons in a season. So what if there was always a full moon? Studies also show that it would create a change in gravity and would be a major problem. This is why we can never let this happen.
