Last year, the Phillies were lmost swept by the Dodgers in the Divisional Round of the Playoffs, but they also almost forced Game 5. This year, the Phillies hope to have a better season, and hope to win the World Series. However, their team looked different during the offseason and looks different coming into this year. Here are some things the Phillies can do to win this season:

One of the Phillies biggest concerns is their offensive production when the season comes back from the All-star break. One thing they can do better with RISP by getting runners home when they’re in those situations and try to get the bat on the ball and not waste limited chances with RISP.

Another concern is the Phillies starting rotation. This is a problem because they were getting quality starts, but the offense just goes lifeless after the starters get quality starts. But, even though their starting pitching was ranked 8th last year, they can improve by getting quality starts of six innings or more every game.

Another concern is their bullpen. Their bullpen had the 8th best ranking last year, but they can improve by not wasting good starts from starters and try to support them.

Another concern is their managerial decisions. Their coaching advice didn't always lead to good decisions. They can improve by getting routines down; for games, they can execute coaching decisions and better strategies.

My prediction for them when October arrives is I think they will have another good season this year. They have had great seasons over the past four years, but have failed to meet the expectations in the playoffs. So , the question is: if they have a great season this year, will it be enough for a title?
