As complaints began to pile up that the school curriculum had no influence
outside of school, teachers and administrators began to realize they needed to “keep up with the times, yo,” and present learning opportunities that would prepare students for the 21st century. The new activities have been described by teachers as “an amazing opportunity to change our school for the better with these hip and lit activities” and that they “literally ate and left no crumbs” with the presentation of ideas. The new activities include:

  • The Difference of hey vs. heyy and how it affects our daily life
  • Drip and how to increase it
  • Emoji decipherment league
  • Netflix Marathon binge-training
  • Influencer development association
  • Meme appreciation society
  • Dead phone battery support group
  • Competitive photoshopping
  • TikTok choreography dance crew

The school hopes that these new extracurriculars will be widely used across the
school, and will put an end to the complaints that nothing learned in school will ever be useful. If any student wishes to sign up for an activity, they can go onto the school website and look for the link labeled “Slaying in School, no cap, for real for real.”
