Have you ever wondered if there should be screen time restrictions? Well we are going to help you figure out if you should be limiting screen time in school and out of school.
I am guessing that a lot of you are against this but once you hear what it can do to your eyes I will suggest that you think about limiting screen time.
These are some things that if you are on a screen for too long that may happen.This light has led to a condition known as digital eye strain or known as computer vision syndrome.
Computer vision syndrome is the visual discomfort you experience after watching TV or using tablets or smartphones for a long period of time. Common issues include sore eyes, Dry Eye Syndrome, headaches, and nausea.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends these acceptable amounts of screen time limits: No screen time for children under 2. One hour per day for children 2 to 12. Two hours per day for teens and adults.
In conclusion, this is why you should take screen time into consideration and why the school should limit doing things on computers like Gimkit and Blooket. Although they are engaging, they may be doing more harm than good.
