The Alley Man

One day Luca was walking down the street, he encountered a dark alleyway in the heart of the city. There were a few small suspicious shops in the alley way. Luca got curious and walked down the alley way. Big muscular men were inside the shops, some with street food, some were convenience stores, and some were drug stores. 

Luca found one shop tucked at the end of the alleyway, it was a very small store with an old man at the old wooden counter. 

“My name is Arthur Silver”, the old man said, “I want you to try this new device I’ve been working on”. Luca, desperate in debt, inserted the device on his arm. He didn’t feel anything at first, but when he shot his arm out to punch Arthur to steal his wallet, water started shooting out of his hand at thousands of miles an hour.

“AH!” Luca shouted.

“Think of any power you want, then extend out your arm and you will gain that power”, said Arthur. Luca shot out his arm, and he began to fly, he flew over fields, cities, and eventually came back to Arthur and said, “Wow!”. Luca gave Arthur all the money in his wallet, 67 cents. He flew home and tried more powers, like invisibility, and teleportation. 

The next morning

Luca got out of bed, but had an orange robe and a blue hat on, Arthur was in a chair sitting in front of him. 

“Yes! It worked!”, he exclaimed, "I'm sorry to do this to you Luca, but you are now The Fire Keeper.”

“What?” Luca said tiredly.

“I’ve been the world's Fire Keeper for 733 years. There is a keeper for every thing in the world, love, water, wind, nature. Every keeper has a device inside them, and once they can put it in someone else, they are the new keeper of that thing. Now that I’ve been relieved of my duty, you must go to the shop from yesterday and manage the world's fire. You will need those superpowers to manage the fire, and keep it under control.”

“I don’t want to be the fire keeper you!-” but before Luca finished his sentence, the old man had disappeared. Luca went to the old alley store and in the office, he saw tvs looking at fires all over the world, and buttons saying, “put out”. He pressed the button for every on going fire, and they were put out. But before he could blink, more fires came up on the tvs.

The next day

Alan had still been clicking the “put out” button with his super speed superpower. He saw a tv blinking red, it was a Californian wild fire, and the tv said, must be put out manually. Luca flew to California, and with his water powers, he started spraying the fire. After the fire was out, Luca started enjoying his fire keeper role, and even met another keeper, the nature keeper, he started flirting with her, and they went out on a date.
