Chapter 1: The Butcher Aisle
It was a dark and stormy night at Giant. The lights were dimmed, the refrigerators running with a low hum. The butcher aisle was putrid with the smell of fish and raw meat. There was no one around to disturb the calm silence of the store. Well, except one person. Inside the security office sat a man, a man named Bob Warner, who was a decent security guard that often dozed off in the middle of a shift. Because of this, he wasn’t too popular with the higher-ups. But they kept him because he was the only one who worked the night shift, since no one else would just because of a horrible tragedy that took place a few years ago.
But anyways, back to the story, he was jolted awake by a crash coming from the meat aisle, he walked up to the aisle half asleep. He then saw a floating blue light rushing towards him, and then everything turned to black. The next morning when Harrison Rudolph the cashier came in, he was terrified to see a man on the ground. It was Bob. His eyes were cold and his face was one of a ghost. Surprisingly, no blood was found anywhere. Deep scars were worn against his neck. Frozen in shock, Harrison returned to his senses and rushed to the man's aid, but when he checked the man's pulse, there wasn’t one.

The next day everyone knew what happened the night before, as it was all over the media.
“There has been a disturbing attack on a man named Bob Warner who worked at the Metroplex Giant’s night shift, he apparently was attacked and is alive but is in a coma at Raquel Parington Honorary Hospital, the person who found him was supposedly rushing for help but I don’t buy that, do you Grant?”
“No, no a-”
The T.V was shut off and everyone looked at who did it, John Baynes, The President of Giant Co.
“What happened, for the last TIME?” he asked the Cashier, Harrison Rudolph.
“I walked in and did a walk around to stretch my legs before my hour-long shift, I pass into the meat aisle and then I see him lying on the ground in an odd position,” Replied Rudolph
“STOP LYING, IF YOU WANT TO STAY OUT OF JAIL, YOU NEED TO TELL ME THE TRUTH!” Roared Baynes
“I am,” whimpered Rudolph. Baynes' presence was enough to intimidate Rudolph, his roaring brought him to the brink of tears.
“STOP LY-” Started Baynes before someone interrupted.
“I think he isn’t lying Johnny,” said Cardins, the Metroplex Head of Security. Cardins was standing near the back of the room, and wasn’t visible because he was obscured by the committee of Groceries. But he moved into view after interrupting Baynes. No one knew much about him but they all knew one thing. He was good, real good. He started to talk, “I know Rudolph, he’s a nice guy, in fact Rudolph and Warner are good friends. He wouldn’t do that to the only person he got along with on the job.”
“Thanks,” squeaked Rudolph, clearly intimidated.
“Well, I called this meeting and if everyone is just bickering, I declare this meeting adjourned,” Declared Cardins. Then he left the room quickly followed by John Baynes, and Harrison Rudolph, with the members of the Committee of Groceries staring in shock, not leaving their seats. Which was a huge mistake, because 5 minutes later, the meeting room and everyone in it exploded.
