With an unexpected opening in the Language department, Mrs. Marengo was quick to join the CMS community as our new Latin teacher.

She values her time with her family; her husband and three daughters. They make many camping, and beach trips together, in addition to the many lacrosse games that each of her daughters play in.

Not too far outside of Montgomery county, Mrs. Marengo attended Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School in Berwyn, PA. She went to Conestoga High School, where she would later go on to teach at.

CMS is excited to have her on the faculty, and she says that’s precisely the reason she chose CMS. She writes, “There is a genuine excitement for students and learning which starts with the administration and includes the teachers and entire staff.”

We’re happy she already feels at-home within the school! She’s already brightened up her classroom with art from former students.

Latin is not her only area of expertise, as she has also taught Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies in her 20 years of teaching. She’s taught at a multitude of schools, but most recently Owen J Roberts Middle and High School.

Her love of teaching is not at all hidden. She writes, “I love teaching and Latin and hope that students will love it too!”

As an 8th grade Latin student, I can confirm that her eagerness to teach makes learning much more enjoyable. Assignments are easy to understand, and any vagueness is quickly clarified.

Despite her joining Colonial School District in October, she’s already created a welcoming space in her classroom. And, on behalf of CMS, we hope that the school has given Mrs. Marengo as warm of a welcoming.

Salve Mrs. Marengo!
